Chicago Wedding – Loft on Lake

Chicago’s west loop make for some modern industrial photo magic with Wes & his team.

West Loop alleys and warehouses can be unique industrial backdrops for your wedding photography.

We busted out some cool wedding party photos in this urban setting near Loft on Lake.

On the left Tom & Kristin walk together in Chicago’s west loop. On the right Tom poses with his groomsmen in an artist’s loft nearby.

Loft on Lake is nestled beneath the El tracks for a truly west loop look and feel. The skylight inside provides soft overhead light and makes the photography during the day more pleasant.

Kristin surveys her room for the first time! I love the white Chinese lanterns at Loft on Lake.

We recommend uplighting at Loft on Lake. It will provide some dimension in the room after dark. The folks giving toasts needed our lighting however because they were in total darkness. Wes is always able to create dimensional images in low light.

Kristin and Tom had some fun with this. We love getting an american gothic shot for giggles.

This is what we call a “grab and grin”. It’s an easy way to get some snapshots with people you love. Just grab them at the reception and look for us nearby to get your grab and grin.

For these I fired two of my off-camera lights through the room to provide some dimension. I like how the Chinese lanterns got lit up a little too.

The bride and groom are joined by friends and family on dance floor.
