Lara & Marty’s engagement session enjoyed some incredible fall weather and colors. The evening began at the Montrose Harbor Bird Sanctuary, which is Wes’ favorite fall setting in the city, and then wrapped up in Millennium Park after dark for some dramatic architectural shots.

Lara opted to wear some deep reds for our Fall color portion of the session so we intentionally looked for those colors to use as backgrounds and tie things together. Marty’s blue shirt was a cool counterpoint to Lara’s warm color palate and it really brought out her eyes.

We loved working with Lara as a bridesmaid earlier in the year and then as a client for this session. My only regret is that their wedding was out of state and we weren’t their wedding photographers.
